The HARP process

From intake to prescription in 48 hours.

HARP is a fully licensed telehealth clinic — not a supplement store. Every prescription is written by a board-certified physician and compounded by a licensed US pharmacy. Here's exactly how it works.

01Intake

Complete your health assessment

You begin with a comprehensive intake covering your health history, current symptoms, goals, medications, and lifestyle. This isn't a generic quiz — it's a structured clinical intake designed to give your physician the full picture before your consultation.

  • Medical history and current medications
  • Symptom inventory across 40+ domains
  • Lifestyle: sleep, exercise, diet, stress
  • Treatment goals and prior therapies

Your intake is encrypted and HIPAA-compliant. It is never shared with third parties.

Intake
02Labs

Submit or complete your blood panel

If you have recent labs, upload them directly. If not, HARP can order a comprehensive blood panel through a local draw site or at-home kit. Your physician will not prescribe without reviewing relevant biomarkers — this is what separates HARP from platforms that skip the labs.

  • Upload existing labs (within 90 days)
  • Order HARP's Comprehensive Blood Panel
  • At-home or local lab draw options
  • Results reviewed before any prescription

HARP partners with CLIA-certified laboratories. Results are reviewed by your physician, not an algorithm.

Labs
03Consultation

Consult with a licensed physician

A board-certified physician reviews your intake and labs, then meets with you via secure telehealth video. This is a real clinical consultation — not a rubber stamp. Your physician will discuss your goals, review your biomarkers, answer your questions, and determine whether treatment is appropriate.

  • Board-certified physician, licensed in your state
  • Secure HIPAA-compliant video consultation
  • Full review of intake and lab results
  • Physician makes the prescription decision

HARP physicians are licensed in all 50 states. You will always see the same physician for continuity of care.

Consultation
04Prescription

Receive your personalized protocol

If your physician determines treatment is appropriate, they write a prescription tailored to your specific biomarkers, goals, and health history. Dosing, timing, and stacking decisions are made from your data — not a standard starting template.

  • Protocol derived from your biomarkers and intake
  • Dosing and timing personalized to your biology
  • Multi-therapy stacking where clinically appropriate
  • Written prescription sent directly to pharmacy

No prescription is issued without physician review. HARP does not use automated prescribing.

Prescription
05Compounding

Compounded and shipped from licensed pharmacies

Your prescription is filled by HARP's network of licensed 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies — the same standard used by hospital systems and specialty clinics. Medications are compounded to your exact dose and shipped discreetly to your door, typically within 5–7 business days.

  • 503A and 503B licensed compounding pharmacies
  • Compounded to your exact prescribed dose
  • Cold-chain shipping where required
  • Discreet packaging, ships to all 50 states

HARP does not use overseas or unlicensed compounders. Every pharmacy in our network is FDA-registered.

Ongoing monitoring and protocol refinement

Your care doesn't end at the first prescription. HARP's care team monitors your progress, reviews follow-up labs, and adjusts your protocol as your biology responds. Your AI Whole Person Model updates continuously — so your treatment evolves with you.

  • Scheduled follow-up consultations
  • Follow-up lab panels at clinical intervals
  • Protocol adjustments based on response data
  • AI model updated with each new data point

Most patients see meaningful biomarker changes within 60–90 days. Your physician reviews results before any dose adjustment.

Physician standards

Board-certified. Licensed in your state. Always.

Every HARP physician is board-certified, licensed to practice in your state, and carries active DEA registration. You will never be seen by a nurse practitioner or PA without physician oversight. HARP does not use asynchronous-only prescribing — every patient has a real consultation.

  • Licensed in all 50 states
  • Active DEA registration for controlled substance prescribing
  • Trained at Harvard Medical School, Mayo Clinic, and Johns Hopkins
  • Minimum 10 years clinical experience

Pharmacy standards

503A and 503B. FDA-registered. No exceptions.

  • 503A and 503B licensed under FDA oversight
  • USP 795, 797, and 800 compliant clean rooms
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA) on every batch
  • Cold-chain logistics for temperature-sensitive compounds

Common questions

What patients ask before starting.

Do I need to have labs before my consultation?

You don't need labs before booking — but your physician will not write a prescription without reviewing relevant biomarkers. If you don't have recent labs, HARP can order a comprehensive panel through our lab network. The cost is included in the Comprehensive Blood Panel add-on.

Is HARP available in my state?

HARP physicians are licensed in all 50 states. Compounded medications ship to all 50 states. There are no geographic restrictions on access to care.

Will insurance cover my treatment?

Most HARP treatments are not covered by traditional insurance. However, many patients use HSA or FSA funds for eligible expenses. HARP provides itemized receipts for all services and medications.

How is HARP different from other telehealth platforms?

Most telehealth platforms use asynchronous prescribing — you fill out a form and receive a prescription without a real consultation. HARP requires a live physician consultation, lab review, and uses only licensed 503A/503B pharmacies. The standard of care is equivalent to an in-person specialty clinic.

What if my physician determines I'm not a candidate?

If your physician determines that a treatment is not appropriate for you, you will receive a full refund of the consultation fee. HARP does not prescribe to patients who are not appropriate candidates — this is a feature, not a limitation.
